That’s why a high-quality claims process is a key element of the Brockwell offering. We differentiate ourselves from our competitors by understanding the importance of a joined-up approach between the underwriting and claims teams.

All our capital providers are Lloyd’s syndicates which means that all claims will be handled in accordance with the Lloyd’s Claims Scheme. Further details of the Scheme can be found here.

Our binder agreement appoints Beazley Syndicates 2623/623 at Lloyd’s as lead Insurer and, for all ‘complex’ claims, Chaucer Syndicate 1084 at Lloyd’s as second lead Insurer. Both capital providers have dedicated and market leading claims teams, underpinned by award-winning claims philosophies. They specialise in dealing with complex and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Under the terms of the binder, all claims are notified to Brockwell Capital and directly to the lead Insurer in order to expedite the claim handling process. Following receipt of the notification, the lead Insurer will liaise with all other capital providers and manage the claim accordingly. As all our capital providers are Lloyd’s syndicates they operate under the Lloyd’s Claims Scheme to resolve a notified claim. The leading Lloyd’s syndicate and, where required, the second Lloyd’s syndicate agree and settle a claim on behalf of all subscribing syndicates.

During the entire claim process our underwriter will always work extremely closely with a dedicated claims’ contact who will be actively involved throughout the life of a claim. You have peace of mind that if something does go wrong, we’ll move quickly to help you put it right.
