Alec was most recently Class Manager of Financial & Commercial Institutions at CNA Hardy. Prior to CNA Alec was European Professional Lines Manager of Financial Institutions at Allied World.

Having started work as an economist at Barclays, Alec began his insurance career in 2003 at Aon and shortly began broking M&A risk. From Aon he joined Marsh and then subsequently AIG.

At AIG Alec was responsible for managing a financial lines portfolio of over $10bn by insured value, which included W&I, Tax and Contingent risks.
